Genistein Forte

Genistein Forte – a natural soy isoflavone complex.

Isoflavones, a subgroup of flavonoids, are hormonally active substances from plants, also known as phytoestrogens. They are usually isolated from soy or red clover. They also have estrogen-like effects in humans, which is why they are primarily used for menopausal symptoms in women. In addition, they may have other relevant health effects involving the cardiovascular system and metabolism, the brain and nerves, skin and hair. The potential role of isoflavones in cancer prevention is currently the subject of extensive discussion. In studies conducted so far, isoflavones have been well tolerated, although official bodies advise caution, as with all hormonally active substances. These products are available over the counter as dry extracts in capsule form; make sure that each capsule contains a sufficient amount of isoflavones.
