MSM stands for “methylsulfonylmethane”. It is an organic sulfur compound with no side effects.

Glucosamine is a natural substance found in the form of glycans in both synovial fluid and cartilage. Glucosamine has no side effects.
Chondroitin is an amino sugar produced in cartilage cells. It is therefore also a substance naturally occurring in the body. Chondroitin is considered a “water magnet” in proteoglycans. It not only attracts fluid but also retains it within the proteoglycan molecules. The fluid acts as a sponge-like shock absorber and transports nutrients into the cartilage. Its effect is further enhanced by vitamin C, manganese and calcium.
