Item description

For the metabolism to continuously produce enough “happiness hormones,” it needs nutrients such as vitamin B1 to convert carbohydrates from simple sugars into energy. Vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid help convert tryptophan into serotonin, the “happiness hormone.” They also benefit the heart by reducing the risk of atherosclerosis. Conclusion: When the mind feels depleted, sometimes all that is missing is the right nutrients.

B Vitamins and Energy Production: To break down carbohydrates in the body and convert them into energy, the body primarily needs B-group vitamins. All these vitamins play a role in energy release and certain brain and nerve functions. Vitamin B1 (thiamine), for example, is of central importance. A deficiency disrupts carbohydrate metabolism and therefore energy production. The first symptoms include increased irritability, fatigue and poor memory. Vitamins B2, B3 and B5 are also necessary for energy conversion, while B6 (pyridoxine) is mainly involved in brain function.

B Vitamins and Pain Perception: Vitamins B1 and B6 in particular are closely linked to serotonin metabolism. A deficiency lowers serotonin levels in the brain, resulting in increased pain sensitivity.
