Item description
CHP-Formula capsules + Q10 contain 2.4 mg of monacolin K and 20 mg of coenzyme Q10/100 per capsule. The combination of monacolin K and Q10 is important because monacolin K can affect the body's own Q10 biosynthesis. The included extract of Monascus purpureus (red yeast rice) is standardized to 2.5% monacolin K and produced by fermentation. Monacolin K from red yeast rice contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol (LDL cholesterol) levels.
Please note:
- When taking monacolin, chemical cholesterol-lowering medications should be discontinued.
- High-dose niacin (over 1,000 mg) should be avoided, as interactions may occur.
- Grapefruit juice should also be avoided, as it could reduce absorption.
- Antioxidants such as vitamin E, selenium and beta-carotene are recommended.
